Game On recently caught up with Liberty women's basketball alum Jeri (Wiley) Porter, who is currently serving as head coach of the Francis Marion women's basketball team.
Porter spent eight seasons as a part of the Liberty women's basketball program, beginning with two seasons (1990-91 and 1991-92) as a player. She became the Lady Flames' first-ever first team All-Big South selection as a senior in 1991-92.
Porter then served as an assistant coach for six seasons (1992-93 through 1997-98), helping coach Liberty to its first two Big South Conference titles.
Since then, Porter spent time as head coach at North Alabama (1998-99 through 2001-02), Radford (2002-03 through 2007-08) and George Mason (2008-09 through 2012-13) before being hired at Francis Marion prior to the 2015-16 campaign.
