Following the team's first week of spring football practice, Flames Head Coach Turner Gill met with the local media to discuss his team's progress one week into practice.
Liberty held its first scrimmage of spring practice last Saturday, a session that was dominated by the defense, which forced "10 or 11 turnovers" Gill commented to the media.
Following another Tuesday and Thursday afternoon workouts (4 to 6:45 p.m.), the Flames will once again scrimmage on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to Noon. All of Liberty's practice sessions are closed to the general public.
Liberty is two and half weeks away from hosting its annual spring game on April 15. on April 15. Kickoff for the intrasquad scrimmage is slated for Noon at Williams Stadium with free admission to the event.
