Liberty defender Heather Bowling

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday throughout the women's soccer season, fans will have an opportunity to get to know the Lady Flames a bit better through a question-and-answer session. Today, the series continues with sophomore defender Heather Bowling.
Sophomore Heather Bowling has played 10 games with nine starts this season for the Lady Flames. Last season, the Waxhaw, N.C., native, was selected to the Big South All-Freshman team, after starting all 14 games for the Liberty. Off the field, the defender was named to the 2007 Big South Presidential Honor Roll.
My earliest soccer memory is … playing Waxhaw recreation and not knowing what the left wing was.
Other than soccer, my favorite sport to play is … beach volleyball.
When I have an hour of free time, I like to … go and do something outdoors like hiking, biking, rock climbing, you get the idea.
If I won a million dollars, I would … travel the world.
If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have this song … N'sync- Tearin' Up My Heart
It is not good for you, but I still eat … Panera cinnamon crunch bagels, YUMMY!!
A place I would like to visit one day is … Venice, Italy.
If you could eat dinner with three other people (living or dead), who would they be and why?  Obvious answer JESUS! And, I guess Esther from the Bible and Karla Davis.
Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
Esther, she was a strong woman who trusted God with all her heart and loved her family enough to risk her life to save them.
When surfing the Internet, what website do you visit the most frequently?
Um, Google... does that count?
What is something about you that other people don't know?
I use to horse vault ... basically it is performing gymnastics/dance on a moving horse!
What is the best part about being on the Liberty Women's Soccer team?
The relationships I have built with the girls on the team.
Who is your favorite Superhero and why?
Batman...simply because he doesn't have any superpowers yet, he still is considered a superhero.
What cartoon character are you most like and why?
Pocahontas (yeah it's not a TV cartoon but still a cartoon) because I love the outdoors and running around barefoot.
After graduation, I would like to … go somewhere in Africa and be a nurse.
