On Wednesday, Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill announced his 2017 signing class after 15 players signed national letters of intent to join the program.
Part of Liberty's coverage of National Signing Day was the return of the award-winning LFSN Flames Football Signing Day show, which was streamed via Facebook Live. During the show, LFSN's reporters Matt Warner and Alan York provided in-depth analysis of Gill's signing class, along with feature interviews with many of Liberty's assistant coaches.
The 2015 LFSN Signing Day Special was the Collegiate Athletics winner of the "Outstanding Studio/Remote Hosted Programming" category at the College Sports Media Awards in Atlanta.
Gill's 2017 signing class, his sixth recruiting class at Liberty, includes 13 high school standouts and two transfers who joined the Flames' roster at the start of the spring semester.
The recruiting class includes two defensive linemen, two offensive linemen, two tight ends, two cornerbacks, two linebackers, two wide receivers, a quarterback, a running back, and a safety.
Liberty's football staff continues to bring in the best high school talent from all around the country, signing players from seven different states. The Flames signed multiple players from the high school hotbeds of Florida (4), Georgia (3), Virginia (3) and Texas (2), while getting single signees from Indiana, Tennessee and Washington, D.C.
