Julius Selected for U-21 National Team Camp in January

Julius was picked to participate in the USA Field Hockey U-21 selection camp at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa., from Jan. 15-17.

Julius was picked to participate in the USA Field Hockey U-21 selection camp at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa., from Jan. 15-17.

Abby Julius, a sophomore on the Liberty field hockey team, was chosen to participate in the USA Field Hockey U-21 selection camp at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa., from Jan. 15-17.

She will have the opportunity to earn selection to the U-21 Women's National Team based on her performance at the camp.

Julius, a second team All-BIG EAST selection for the Lady Flames, tallied five goals, four assists and 14 points (fourth on team) in 17 games during her sophomore campaign. She scored two goals each in early season wins over Villanova (5-1 on Sept. 16) and Quinnipiac (6-1 on Sept. 23) and also scored at No. 1 UConn on Oct. 15. Julius also served as a facilitator in Liberty's 8-0 triumph over Georgetown on Oct. 8, dishing out a career-best three assists.

As a freshman, the Hummelstown, Pa., native recorded three goals, four assists and 10 points in 16 contests.
