The Liberty Baseball Program announced it has signed a contract with Wilson/DeMarini to provide the Flames with bats, gloves and other equipment for the upcoming year.
"Our baseball program is proud to have entered into a contract with Wilson/DeMarini," stated Liberty head coach Jim Toman. "Wilson gloves are used by many major league players and are considered to be some of the best gloves in the industry, and DeMarini bats are used by many of the top college baseball programs in the country.
"I am happy to be joining forces with two such quality companies as Wilson and DeMarini."
Wilson, the world's leading manufacturer of sporting equipment, has been involved in baseball for almost a century. The official glove of Major League Baseball, Wilson gloves are worn by several of the game's top stars, including 2006 American MVP Justin Morneau, 2004 American League MVP Vladimir Guerrero, 12-time Gold Glove catcher Ivan Rodriguez, New York Mets outfielder Carlos Beltran and third baseman David Wright, and pitchers Greg Maddux, a four-time Cy Young Award winner and 16-time gold glover, Curt Schilling and Trevor Hoffman.
DeMarini bats are used by over 150 college programs across the country. Two-time defending national champion Oregon State, 2007 College World Series participants Arizona State and UC Irvine, and 2007 Southeastern Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champion Vanderbilt are just a few of the top collegiate teams using DeMarini bats.
