Senior field hockey players Bethany Barr and Serena Barr were selected to play in the 2016 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game.

The Barr sisters were two of 38 participants selected for the contest, along with 12 alternates. The game will be held on Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Old Dominion's L.R. Hill Sports Complex. The teams for the match will be decided closer to the game date.

"I am thrilled Bethany and Serena were both selected for the Senior-All Star game. These selections are much deserved, as both of these young ladies have had such a strong impact on our program over the last four seasons," said Liberty head coach Jodi Murphy. "I think this game will serve as a wonderful capstone to both of their stellar careers in a Liberty jersey."

This season, Bethany Barr has five goals and 11 assists and is third on the team with 21 points in 16 games.

Bethany has made 78 appearances in a Liberty uniform, with 71 starts. The Lurgan, Northern Ireland, native has scored 25 career goals to go along with 34 assists for a total of 84 points. She has been named to the NFHCA South All-Region team each of the last two seasons.

This season, Serena Barr has seven goals, 11 assists and team-best 25 points in 16 matches. She tallied a career-high six points (two goals, two assists) in a 7-0 win over BIG EAST opponent Temple, last Friday.

Serena has started 77 of 78 career contests in a Liberty jersey. The Lurgan, Northern Ireland, native has scored 28 career goals to go along with 38 assists for a total of 94 points, which is second-most in program history. Like her sister, she has been named to the NFHCA South All-Region team each of the last two seasons.
