Three weeks before the Lady Flames' 2016-17 season opener against Duke, Brian Whitesell of the Liberty Flames Sports Network caught up with the team's only senior, Audrey Rettstatt.
One of Liberty's team captains, Rettstatt had made three consecutive starts before her 2015-16 season was cut short by a knee injury suffered at Gardner-Webb on Dec. 2. The Ohio native has since made a full recovery and is ready for the start of her senior season.
Liberty will tip off the 2016-17 season with three consecutive home games, welcoming Duke (Nov. 11, 6 p.m.), James Madison (Nov. 15, 5 p.m.) and Appalachian State (Nov. 17, 7 p.m.) to the Vines Center during the opening week of competition.
