During the summer months, LFSN's Alan York sat down with each of the Liberty men's basketball team's incoming players. In the final installment of the series, York chats with senior guard Ray Chen.

Chen, a 6-1 combo guard from Miaoli, Taiwan, comes to Liberty after playing three seasons for Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.  At Belmont Abbey, Chen earned all-conference honors during his junior year, finishing his tenure with 1084 points. This past season, Chen led the Crusaders with 16 points and 3.5 assists per game. He was also named the 2015-16 Impact Athlete of the Year for Belmont Abbey Athletics.

Chen graduated from Belmont Abbey in May and will be eligible with the Flames for the 2016-17 season. Prior to his time with the Crusaders, Chen played high school basketball at Gaston Day School (Gastonia, N.C.).
