Liberty won three singles matches against West Virginia on the final day of the Tribe Invitational.
A trio of Liberty women's tennis players picked up singles wins on the final day of the 24th Annual Tribe Invitational at William & Mary.
Anna Dollar, Emily Groeneveld and Rebekah Anderson earned wins over their West Virginia counterparts at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
Dollar earned a straight-sets win, 6-2, 6-4, over the Mountaineers' Christina Jordan. Groeneveld scored a decisive, 6-1, 6-0 triumph over WVU's Kaja Mrgole.
Rebekah Anderson also won in two sets, 6-3, 6-1 over Carolina Lewis. The victory was Anderson's team-best sixth overall win this season and 20th career victory.
Overall, the Lady Flames won five singles matches and three doubles matches at the three-day Tribe Invitational.
"We finished strong on the final day with some great efforts by everyone," said head coach Jeff Maren. "This tournament definitely improved our mental toughness and moved us closer to our ‘improvement goals'."
Liberty will have next weekend off from competition before return to action at the Wake Forest Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
