Liberty Athletics Tryout Information The Liberty men's and women's track & field program will hold walk-on tryouts on Oct. 3 and 4, beginning at 4 p.m. each day. The tryouts will take place at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex.
The tryout will consist of a combination of testing, drills and sprints (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and/or 1,600m), depending on your specialty. Please wear appropriate attire and running shoes.
Students interested in trying out for the team must visit the "Liberty Athletics Tryout Information" link at the top of this page and complete all of the necessary requirements listed.
All necessary paperwork must be completed and turned in to team athletic trainer Hugh Blocker no later than Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.
Blocker's office is located at the Fieldhouse ("wrestling building") athletic training room, located at the "visiting team" end zone of the football stadium. Blocker can be found there from 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Otherwise, please bring any paperwork to him at the Luurtsema Center athletic training room from 3-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
