Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet Tickets Available

The 2016 class of the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame will be inducted at a banquet ceremony on Sept. 23, an event surrounding Liberty's home football game against Jacksonville State. Tickets for the banquet, which starts at 6:30 p.m., are now on sale.

The five-member Hall of Fame class, which is the Athletics Department's eighth inducted group, includes: Annie Hunt Fairchild (women's cross country/track & field), Steve Kearns (football), Todd Setsma (men's golf), Randy Tomlin (baseball) and Ed Vickers (men's basketball). Each of the inductees will be presented by a person of their choosing and will address the audience that attends the banquet.

All of the inductees will be presented with an etched glass piece that will memorialize this honor. This group of five will bring the total number of Athletics Department Hall of Fame members to 42. All Hall of Fame inductees are honored with a display in the honors area of the Vines Center.

The induction banquet, open to all Flames Nation fans and the general public, will be hosted on Liberty's campus in the Williams Stadium Tower Club Pavilion (third floor). Tickets are available for $30 at the Flames Ticket Office or online at the link provided below. All purchased tickets will be available for pick up as you enter the banquet unless picked up in person at the Flames Ticket Office.

The five inductees will also be presented to the audience at the Jacksonville State football game on Sept. 24. The contest against the Gamecocks begins at 7 p.m.
