Darrin Peterson is one of eight former Flames' football players who will be in NFL training camps in August trying to secure a roster position for the upcoming NFL season.
Following the 2016 NFL Draft, Peterson signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears and will enter August training camp looking for a spot on the Bears' 53-man regular season roster.
Peterson finished up his stellar career at Liberty as the program's all-time career leader in receptions (215), receiving yards (3,170 yards) and receiving touchdowns (27). He also finished as Liberty's all-time leader with 15 career 100-yard receiving games.
Peterson was a three-time All-Big South first-team honoree and earned 2014 Sports Network All-America second-team accolades.
Peterson was recently back on Liberty Mountain where the LFSN Game On crew was able to catch up with the native of Gadsden, Ala.
