Quick Hits
1. Tuesday's contest will be the third meeting between Duke and Liberty, this season.  Liberty edged Duke, 1-0, during the Baseball at the Beach Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 27, while Duke defeated Liberty, 6-1, March 29 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

2. Wednesday's game will be the only meeting between Richmond and Liberty, this season. The Flames have won the last six meetings between the two teams dating back to 2006, the last time the two teams met in Richmond.

3. The Flames enter Tuesday's contest with a 14-5 mark at Liberty Baseball Stadium. Liberty has posted a 3-1 record at home in April.

4. Liberty opened a stretch where it will play eight of its next 10 games on the road, dropping two of three games at Campbell, this past weekend in Big South play.

5. 21 out Liberty's first 37 games have been decided by two runs or less and 15 by one run.

• SS Dalton Britt had two hits and a RBI and scored a run in Liberty's 3-0 win over Campbell, Sunday.

• Britt had two hits, a triple and scored a run, April 5 in 5-4 win over Maryland.

• Britt has now started 217 straight games. The  senior has started every Liberty contest since joining the Flames in 2012.  He is on pace to break Trey Wimmer's (2009-14) career record of 235 games played.

• RHP Shane Quarterley leads the Flames in appearances with 18.  Currently, Quarterley is second in saves (6), tied for third in appearances, and tied for sixth in wins (5) in the Big South.

• Quarterley pitched out of two bases-loaded jams in the seventh and ninth to earn his sixth save of the year in Liberty's 3-0 victory over Campbell, Sunday.

• LHP Victor Cole gave up two hits and struck out nine, Friday night at Campbell. The left-hander pitched his second complete game of the year.

• Cole is tied for second with an opponent batting average of .190  and is fifth with 56 strikeouts in the Big South.

• RHP Jack DeGroat pitched six scoreless innings, scattering three hits and tying a career-high with six strikeouts, in Liberty's 3-0 win, Sunday. DeGroat recorded the win to move to 2-2 on the year.

• RHP Evan Mitchell gave up one run on five hits over 7 2/3 innings, Saturday.  Currently, he is seventh in the Big South and leads the Flames with a 2.31 ERA.

• All nine members of Liberty's lineup had at least one hit, as the Flames defeated the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, 9-6, in the finale of a three-game Big South series at Liberty Baseball Stadium, April 10. LF D.J. Artis, RF Will Shepherd, LF Andrew Yacyk, 1B Sammy Taormina and Britt had two hits each for Liberty, which collected 14 hits total in the contest.

• Artis and designated hitter Nick Walker had three hits each and combined to drive in five runs, powering the Flames to a 10-2 victory over the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, April 8.

• Artis posted his third three-hit game of the season and set a career-high with three RBI. He also doubled, scored a run and had a stolen base.

• Walker collected his second three-hit game of the season, while adding two RBI and a scored a run.

• The freshman OF leads the Flames and the Big South Conference in on base percentage. He is second in the conference and leads Liberty in walks. He is third in stolen bases (16) and fifth in runs scored (33).

• 1B/OF Yacyk's third hit of the night, a double, gave the Liberty Flames a 5-4 walk-off win over the Maryland Terrapins,  April 5.

• Yacyk leads the Flames in home runs, RBI and total bases. He is  eighth in the Big South with six home runs, tied for fifth with 33 RBI and tied for eighth with 77 total bases.

• OF Josh Close received his first two starts of the season on Saturday and Sunday. Close had a RBI double in the Flames' 3-0 victory over Campbell, Sunday.
