While on the all-state first team, Jones was named captain for the squad and was awarded the Coaches Award at the end of the season. During her final two years, Jones took a leadership position as the prayer leader for the team.

The Pennsylvania native also excelled off the field, as a member of the National Honors Society. Jones maintained a 4.2 GPA the final three years of high school.

Why did you choose Liberty? "I chose Liberty because there is no other place that compares to it. Liberty was my first college visit and no other college had the same atmosphere. When I walked on campus I knew that it was not only where I wanted to be but where God led me to be."
What was your favorite thing about Liberty's campus? "My favorite thing about Liberty's campus is the atmosphere. As soon as I stepped onto campus I knew there were fellow servants of God surrounding me. His presence is all over campus and nothing is better than that."
What is your goal coming in to Liberty? "As I start at Liberty in the summer of 2016 I pray that I will make new friendships and most importantly have growth in my relationship with God. I also pray that I will glorify God in all that I do on and off the field."
Head Coach Jodi Murphy on Jones: "Kendra is an excellent addition to the field hockey program. She is a speedy forward with a great deal of potential to have an impact on the college game. Her high school and club experience have given her the opportunity to compete for championships at a very high level. This experience will be a huge benefit to her as we enter the Big East next fall. I am excited to watch her grow in all aspects of her career at Liberty."
