Prior to the team leaving for the 2016 Big South Men's Golf Championship, LFSN reporter Alan York recently had a chance to talk with sophomore Isaiah Logue.
For the ninth-consecutive year, the Big South Men's Golf Championship will be contested at The Patriot Golf Club (par 72, 7,120 yards) in Ninety Six, S.C. The three-day, 54-hole event begins on Sunday and No. 3 seed Liberty will tee off from 9:20 to 10 a.m., along with golfers from No. 1 seed Charleston Southern and No. 2 seed Campbell.
The Patriot Golf Club has treated the Flames well in recent years with Liberty capturing the conference title at the Davis Love, III, designed golf course in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Logue will be making his second trip to the Big South Men's Golf Championship next week. Last year, the 2015 Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Year finished tied for seventh place after firing a 4-under par 212 (71-69-72).
Logue has been Liberty's most consistent golfer during the 2015-16 season. He currently leads the team and ranks fourth in the Big South with a 72.42 season stroke average. He has posted four top 10 finishes and recorded 11 rounds at par or better during his sophomore campaign.
