Why did you choose Liberty? "I love the whole idea and mission of Liberty, to train champions for Christ. I feel like this is where the Lord has laid out a path for me and where He wants me to be. I also know it is a place where I can grow my faith which is the most important thing in my life."
What was your favorite thing about Liberty's campus? "My favorite thing about Liberty's campus was the atmosphere. It was so uplifting and just had a different feel than any other school I had visited. When I met the field hockey team and coaches, there was a good feeling between us that made me feel welcomed and I hadn't felt before. I just had a feeling that Liberty is where the Lord wants me to be. Also, it is exciting and comforting to me that the field hockey field is a mission field to share Jesus."
What is your goal coming in to Liberty? "My goal coming to Liberty is to continue to grow my faith and knowledge of the Bible and find my purpose in Jesus Christ. I also want to become the best field hockey player and teammate that I can be. I want to improve at a sport I love to play, and to create relationships that will last forever."
Head Coach Jodi Murphy on Frizzell: "Merich embodies so much of what Liberty Field Hockey stands for. Her passion for her faith coupled with her desire to excel on the hockey field and in the classroom will make her an excellent addition to the team next fall. She has natural athleticism and God-given talents to help propel us into the next chapter of our program."
