1. Tuesday's contest is the second meeting of the year between Maryland and Liberty. The Terappins held off a ninth-inning rally for an 10-9 victory on March 22 at Bob " Turtle" Smith Stadium.  The Flames scored five runs and brought the winning run to the plate with two outs in the ninth, before Maryland was able to close out the win.

2. The Flames open a four-game homestand, Tuesday. Liberty will host Charleston Southern for a three-game Big South series, this weekend. Liberty is 11-4 at LIberty Baseball Stadium, this season.

3. 18 out Liberty's first 30 games have been decided by two runs or less and 12 by one run.

• The Flames have posted a 11-4 record at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this season.

• Liberty went 21-9 at Liberty Baseball Stadium in 2015.

• Last season, Liberty set a new single-game stadium attendance record, drawing 3,983 for its contest with Campbell on April 10, 2015.

• The Liberty Baseball Stadium was ranked as one of the Top 100 stadium experiences of 2015 by Stadium Journey. The home of the Liberty baseball program was listed No. 53. Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, topped the list.

• Stadium Journey also ranked the Liberty Baseball Stadium No. 4 among collegiate baseball stadiums in their 2015 Collegiate Baseball Stadium Experiences.

Player Notes
• 1B Andrew Yacyk had three hits and a home run, his team-leading sixth, Sunday at Winthrop. He drove in a run and scored a run in the contest

• Yacyk went 5-for-6 against the Maryland Terrapins in his return to his home state of Maryland, March 22. The Hagerstown, Md., native drove in three runs, setting a new career-high for hits.

• Yacyk leads the Flames and is third in the Big South with six home runs. He is also sixth in the Big South with 28 RBI.

• LF D.J. Artis had two hits and was intentionally walked, Saturday at Winthrop. He scored a run and drove in two runs.

• Artis leads the Flames and the Big South Conference with a .517 on base percentage. He is among the top four in the conference and leads Liberty in hits (43), stolen bases (10) and walks (28).

• CF Jack Morris tied a season-high with three RBI, Sunday. Both of his two hits plated runs.

• On March 22, Morris hit his first career home run and drove three runs, his first career RBI, at Maryland.  The freshman collected two hits and scored twice in the contest.

• DH Austin Bream scored a career-high three runs, Sunday at Winthrop. He singled and walked twice in the contest.

• 3B Eric Grabowski had two hits, including his second home run of the season, at Winthrop, Friday. He also scored twice.

• RHP Shane Quarterley leads the Flames in appearances with 14. 11 days ago, Quarterley picked up his fourth win of the year with 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in a 6-5 win over Asheville, March 24. The following evening, Quarterley recorded the final out of the contest to earn his fourth saves (Mar. 25)

• Quarterley is third in the Big South in appearances, is second in saves (4) and second in wins (4).

• RHP Zach Helsel did not allow a run over a four-inning relief stint to record his first collegiate win,  March 24 against UNC Asheville. Helsel scattered three hits, striking out a batter and not walking one.

• 2B Andrew Kowalo reached base in all five of his plate appearances, March 22 at Maryland. Kowalo had two hits, was hit by a pitch twice and walked in the contest.

• LHP Victor Cole is sixth in the Big South with 42 strikeouts and second in opponent batting average (.179).
