Last week, Liberty hosted its annual Football Pro Day, allowing its draft eligible players the opportunity to showcase their talents before professional scouts leading into the upcoming NFL Draft (April 28-30).
More than 20 different NFL franchises were represented during the afternoon workout and the LFSN Game On crew was on site to provide the day's event coverage.
The afternoon workout began in the Williams Football Operations Center weight room. During the weight room portion of the Pro Day event, Liberty's players were tested for height, weight, hand size, arm span, vertical jump, standing long jump and the 225-pound bench press.
Following the indoor tests, the remainder of Liberty's Football Pro Day schedule took place on the Williams Stadium turf where players were tested in the 40-yard dash, short shuttle, three-cone drill, 60-yard shuttle and various position drills.
Liberty had eight of its draft eligible players participate in Football Pro Day this year: D.J. Abnar (RB), Jonathan Burgess (OL), John Lunsford (K), Jimmy O'Grady (LB), Darrin Peterson (WR), Desmond Rice (RB), Chima Uzowihe (DL) and Josh Woodrum (QB).
