Last Time Out
The Lady Flames fell to No. 6 Notre Dame yesterday by the final score of 25-2. The contest was played at Thompson Field in Blacksburg, Va. Kallie Britton netted both Liberty goals, one assisted by junior defender Victoria Tickle. Liberty held the NCAA's No. 4 ranked offense scoreless for the first six minutes of the contest. During that span, Katherine Widrick put on a display, turning away shot after shot as the Liberty goalkeeper racked up four saves early on. Widrick finished with nine saves and fellow freshman goalie Aubrie Tarris tacked on three saves of her own.

Same Name, Double the Trouble
Senior captains Kallie Britton and Callie Francis rank first and third on the team in points. Francis is currently tied with freshman Kayla Foster for the most points (14) and the most assists (7). The redshirt senior has also accounted for seven goals. Britton leads the team in goals scored with 11. The Kansas native has also accounted for 12 points. Britton and Francis have combined for 16 ground balls, 15 draw controls and eight caused turnovers.

Freshman Poise
Kayla Foster has stepped up in a tremendous way for the Liberty offense. Foster leads the team in both points (14) and assists (7). The Pennsylvania native also is tied for third on the team in goals with seven.

Brittons Got Talent
Sisters Abby and Kallie Britton have accounted for 19 goals and two assists thus far. Kallie leads the team in goals with 11, while Abby is right on her tail with eight. Abby, a sophomore midfielder, has surged onto the scene for the Lady Flames. The Kansas native recorded one goal a season ago and has already netted eight goals on 11 shots this season. Kallie has owned up to her label of captain. The senior midfielder has netted a team-best 11 goals and recorded one assist. Kallie ranks third on the team in points (12) and has successfully recorded two points per contest.

Defensive Wins Championships
The defensive core of Colleen Ekert, Meghan Hammond, Lindsey McNamara, Victoria Tickle and Melanie Via have lived up to their potential. The quintet has combined for 61 of Liberty's 121 ground balls this season, to complement 42 of the Lady Flames' 62 caused turnovers. Tickle leads the squad in ground balls with 20 and ranks sixth in the NCAA in ground balls per game with 4.00. Ekert and Hammond have 15 and 12 ground balls, respectively. Ekert leads the defense and ranks 10th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game with 2.50. Via has nine caused turnovers while Tickle and McNamara each have eight to accompany Ekert's team-leading 14.

Spying the Mountain Hawks
Lehigh enters the weekend with a 3-1 overall record, having won three consecutive outings. Since the Mountain Hawks' season-opening loss to No. 6 Penn State (13-6), Lehigh has outscored opponents 35-21 heading into Saturday's contest. The Mountain Hawks most recently defeated Iona on Saturday, 14-11. Lehigh has yet to play a road contest this season and it finished 7-3 away from the Ulrich Sports Complex a season ago.

Lehigh is outscoring opponents 41-34 this season through its first four contests. The Mountain Hawks have only won 33 draw controls this season, but when they win, they possess the ball and take smart shots, recording a shots on goal percentage of .761. Lehigh has also successfully cleared 49 of its 56 attempts this season.

The Mountain Hawks are led offensively by Allison LaBeau. The junior attacker has accounted for 13 goals and eight assists for a point total of 21. LaBeau is the only Lehigh player to record double-digit goals and double-digit points. Haley Wentzel is close to reaching double-digit points with nine.

What's Next?
Following Saturday's showdown, the Lady Flames return to action on March 23 when they host George Mason at 4 p.m. at the Liberty Lacrosse Field. Liberty is 1-3 all-time against the Patriots, winning the most recent contest by a score of 11-7 on March 18, 2015, in Fairfax, Va.
