Recently, Game On featured Liberty women's basketball senior guard Jaymee Fisher-Davis and her younger brother Matthew Fisher-Davis, a sophomore guard at Vanderbilt.
Jaymee Fisher-Davis paces the Lady Flames with 45 three-pointers this season and ranks seventh in program history with 124 career triples made. She also owns the Liberty record with 26 consecutive free throws made.
Matthew Fisher-Davis is also a sharpshooter from the outside, topping the Vanderbilt roster with 75 three-pointers. He ranks sixth in the SEC for three-pointers made and second in three-point field goal percentage (.455) this season.
This week will be an exciting one for the Fisher-Davis family, with both Jaymee and Matthew preparing for conference tournaments. The Lady Flames (18-11, 15-5 Big South) enter the Big South Women's Basketball Championship as the No. 2 seed. They will face either No. 7 seed Charleston Southern or No. 10 seed Longwood in the quarterfinal round Friday at 6 p.m. at Kimmel Arena in Asheville, N.C.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt (19-12, 11-7 SEC) is the No. 5 seed for the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. The Commodores will play either No. 12 seed Tennessee or No. 13 seed Auburn in the second round, Thursday at 3 p.m.
