As the Liberty softball team prepared for its trip to Louisiana, Nick Pierce of Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) caught up with freshman outfielder Jaclyn Amader for an interview.
Amader, hailing from Rocklin, Calif., has made an immediate impact in the middle of Liberty's lineup. She hit an RBI double against then No. 17/17 in her first career game. Amader is currently hitting .286 while leading the Lady Flames with four doubles and six RBI. Her four doubles are tied for second in the Big South.
The Lady Flames will compete in the Louisiana Tech Classic, Friday and Saturday in Ruston, La. Liberty will open play on Friday at 11 a.m. Eastern against Grambling, before taking on host school Louisiana Tech at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, Liberty will face both Lamar (1:15 p.m. ET) and Jacksonville (3:30 p.m. ET).
