The Liberty Flames baseball team will host the Tribe of William & Mary at Liberty Baseball Stadium, next Tuesday. The schedule changed was announced earlier today.
First pitch for the contest, which will now serve as the home opener for the Flames, is scheduled for 3 p.m. Admission to the game will be free of charge.
The contest between the Flames and The Tribe had been slated for Tuesday at William & Mary's Plumeri Park. However, inclement weather in the Williamsburg, Va., area during the last several days has left the field in poor condition and forced the game's relocation to Lynchburg. The Flames will now play at William & Mary on April 27.
Season tickets remain available and are $75 each for premium seating and $50 each for general admission with discounts available for youth, seniors, Liberty University faculty/staff and recent Liberty alumni, who have graduated between the years of 2011-15.
Fans can contact the Flames Club at 434-582-CLUB (2582) for assistance with membership or premium season ticket orders. Fans can also contact the Flames Ticket Office, located at the Vines Center, at 434-582-SEAT (7328) for assistance with general admission season ticket orders.
Liberty opens its 2016 season with a three-game series at South Florida, this weekend. The first game of the series and the Flames' season opener is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at USF Baseball Stadium on Friday.
