Liberty Baseball Stadium Ranked Among Top 100 Stadium Experiences of 2015

The Liberty Baseball Stadium has been ranked among the top 100 stadium experiences of 2015 by Stadium Journey. The home of the Liberty baseball program is listed No. 53 for the past year. The stadium is among the top 100 in experiences for the second consecutive year.

The web site, which looks at stadium experiences around the world, has reviewed more than 2,100 venues in over 48 countries to date. Stadium Journey's ratings took into account the food and beverage served in the stadium, the overall atmosphere, the neighborhood where the stadium is located, the fans, access (which includes traffic, parking, ability to move around, and restrooms), the overall return on investment and one final "extras" category.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, tops the list for the second consecutive year and received a perfect score for the second straight year.

In citing the Liberty Baseball Stadium, Stadium Journey states, "With a pristine playing surface, wonderful views in almost any direction, comfortable seats, a great product on the field and some of the nicest people you'll encounter anywhere, a trip to Lynchburg to see a Flames game needs to be on your to-do list."

This past June, Liberty Baseball Stadium was ranked the No. 4 best college ballpark experiences of 2015 by the Stadium Journey.

For the second consecutive season, Liberty finished 2015 in the top 50 in the nation among NCAA Division I schools for regular season average and overall attendance. Liberty finished 48th nationally with an average attendance of 1,404 and 48th in overall attendance with 39,334.

In addition, a new single-game stadium attendance record was set on April 10, when the Flames drew 3,983 for their contest with Campbell.

The Flames posted a 22-5 record this past season at Liberty Baseball Stadium, improving to 68-23 over their three years at the facility. Liberty posted a 33-23 overall record in 2015.
