As the calendar winds down to the final days of 2015, the Liberty Flames Sports Network is looking back at the moments that made this athletics year special for Flames Nation.
The series begins today by looking at Moment No. 12, women's tennis posted a 6-1 victory over visiting Radford on April 1 to set a new single-season record for wins.
The five-point win over the Highlanders on the Hershey-Esbenshade Tennis Courts gave Liberty its 16th victory of the year. With the win, Liberty surpassed its previous record of 15 wins set during the 2009, 2011 and 2014 seasons.
The Lady Flames would go on to win 19 total matches in 2015 (19-5) and post a 7-2 record in Big South play. Liberty earned the No. 4 seed in the Big South Women's Tennis Championship after tying the program record for conference wins in a season.
