With the 2015 men's soccer season completed, Liberty Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce caught up with Liberty Head Coach Jeff Alder.

The two took a look back at the 2015 season and forward to next year.

The Flames finished the year with a 6-10-1 overall mark.

2015 Season Highlights

  • Midfielder Tim Harbison was named to his second straight Big South All-Conference team. The senior started every game of his four-year career. He was part of the Liberty starting "11" for 74 consecutive games. Harbison scored three goals in 2015 and served as the Flames captain for the second straight season.
  • Midfielder Kevin Mendoza was also selected to the Big South All-Conference team. The freshman from Mexico City, Mexico was one of four Flames to record three or more points in a game this season, scoring a goal and assisting on another in a 3-3 tie with Longwood on Oct. 31. He finished the year with two goals and two assists.
  • Senior Sachem Wilson finished his career by leading the team in goals (6) and points (15) for the third straight season. Wilson completed his time at Liberty with 26 career goals. He was twice named to the Big South Men's Soccer All-Academic team.
  • Liberty wore pink jerseys for their match against Longwood on Oct. 27 and against Presbyterian on Oct. 31. The Flames wore the jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to show support for Head Coach Jeff Alder's wife, Lori, who battled the disease throughout the 2015 season, Coach Alder and the Alder family.
