The Liberty women's basketball team is ranked No. 20 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll, despite suffering back-to-back losses.

After opening the 2015-16 at 2-0, the Lady Flames (2-2) lost a 61-53 home decision to NC State on Friday and fell 72-56 at James Madison on Monday. The Dukes check in at No. 6 in this week's Mid-Major Top 25.

Gonzaga is the new No. 1 team, followed by Green Bay, Florida Gulf Coast, Chattanooga and Princeton in this week's rankings, which are made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic.

Liberty will face a pair of nationally ranked opponents at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout, Friday and Saturday at South Point Arena in Las Vegas. The Lady Flames will take on No. 11/14 Ohio State (2-2) Friday at 5:15 p.m. Eastern before meeting No. 16/15 California (4-0) Saturday at 5:15 p.m. Eastern.
