Following Liberty's final full practice of the week, Head Coach Turner Gill met with the media to discuss his team's preparation for their matchup against Southern Illinois on Saturday.

The contest will be played at Salukis Stadium (15,000) in Carbondale, Ill., with kickoff set for 7 p.m. (EST). Saturday's game against the Salukis will begin a season-long four-game road swing for the Flames.

This is Liberty's longest stretch of road games since 2001, when the Flames played five straight contests away from Williams Stadium. Liberty is one of seven FCS squads who will play four straight road games in 2015, joining Bryant, Colgate, Idaho State, North Carolina A&T, Sacred Heart and Wagner.

Liberty will face Southern Illinois for the first time in program history; however, the Flames are 3-11 all-time against Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) opponents, including 2-5 on the road. The Flames' most recent MVFC victory was a 31-28 triumph at Youngstown State on Sept. 27, 2008.

The Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) will provide both radio and television coverage for the contest. For more information about where to watch and/or listen to the game, check out the Game Day Central page for this Saturday's road contest.
