Former Liberty men's basketball shooting guard Anthony Smith will enter his seventh professional basketball season after signing with WKS Slask Wroclaw of the TBL in Poland.
Prior to joining Slask Wroclaw, Smith played most recently at St. Quentin in French ProB where he was one of the top scorers in the league with 15.7 ppg. He also averaged 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steal per contest, while shooting a solid 61.1 percent from the field in 34 games. Smith's efforts earned him a spot on the Eurobasket.com All-French ProB third team.
During the 2013-14 season, Smith played at Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (BBL) in the German League. In 22 games, Smith averaged 8.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
A prolific scorer with the Flames, Smith (2006-09) closed out his Liberty career sixth on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,754 points. Smith, who played under current Liberty head coach Ritchie McKay his senior season, capped the year with 615 tallies en route to earning 2009 Big South All-Conference first team honors. That year, the Flames finished with a 23-12 record, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2009 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.
