As the Flames prepare to open the 2015 season at Williams Stadium against Delaware State this Saturday, LibertyFlames.com will run a series of features to prepare fans for Flames Game Day.

The series will give fans a reminder of LibertyFlames.com's typical weekly coverage of the football program. Additionally, it will plus provide helpful information regarding your game day experience when following the Flames throughout the 2015 season.

The series continues today by taking a look at the Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show spotlighting Liberty's football program. The show airs each week on Monday nights.

The show returns this year with a new broadcast location and air time. The weekly show will now broadcast from the Liberty Bookstore and will air from 6 to 7 p.m. (EST).

For the third year in a row, the Flames Sports Hotline will air weekly on the ESPNinVA network, which includes the following ESPN Radio stations in the Central Virginia area: 93.3 FM (Lynchburg), 106.3 FM (Danville), 1240 AM (Roanoke), 1320 AM (Lynchburg) and 1350 AM (Bedford).

Fans unable to listen to the show via a traditional radio station can also listen via the link provided above or by downloading the My Journey FM mobile app. The app is available in both the Google Play and iTunes mobile app stores.

The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg at the Liberty Bookstore, which is located next to Williams Stadium. The show broadcasts live throughout the Barnes and Nobles bookstore and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.

Alan York, the radio play-by-play broadcaster for football and men's basketball, hosts the call-in show, which features Liberty's fourth-year head football coach Turner Gill. The show will open weekly with a different member of Gill's coaching staff, beginning this week with offensive coordinator Aaron Stamn.

Stamn is one of several coaches who have served under head coach Turner Gill with three different programs, having previously worked under Gill at Buffalo (2006-09) and Kansas (2010-11).

Under Stamn's offensive leadership the last three years, Liberty has had 18 players selected to the All-Big South teams (10 first team, eight second team) and 16 players named to VaSID All-State teams (eight first team, eight second team).

In 2014, wide receiver Darrin Peterson earned All-America honors under Stamn's offensive schemes. He finished the season with 1,379 passing yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.

Following the opening segment with Stamn, York will welcome in Gill for the remainder of the hour-long show. Gill will recap Liberty's August training camp, discuss moves on the preseason depth chart and preview Liberty's season-opening game against Delaware State.

Following the first few segments with Gill, York will open up the phone lines and field questions from the radio listening audience or those seated inside the Liberty Bookstore. Fans unable to be on location for the show each Monday night may call in at (877) 401-9041 to participate in the weekly show.

Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show can also email their questions for Gill to LFSN@liberty.edu, prior to the start of the show.

Flames Nation fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to any of the ESPNinVA network of stations in the Central Virginia area. The show also airs live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
