The Big South Conference kicked off its 14th season of football today by holding the first day of its 2015 Big South Football Media Day events in Atlanta, Ga.
Wednesday's events were held at the College Football Hall of Fame, marking the first time a collegiate conference at any level has conducted its Football Media Day at the facility.
The day began with coaches and player representatives from each school touring the facility, which allowed them to enjoy the rich tradition of college football.
The Big South Network concluded its annual Big South Football Media Day show during the afternoon, spotlighting each team during the two and half hour live broadcast.
Following the tours and live broadcasts, a reception was held in The Quad and the Big South Kickoff Banquet was conducted on the Playing Field area. During the banquet, Big South commissioner Kyle B. Kallander addressed the crowd, before giving way to each of the league's seven head coaches.
Big South Football Media Day will continue tomorrow at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria. During the day, coaches and players will run through a series of media interviews with national, regional and local media members.
Throughout the day's events on Thursday, the Big South will have several social media engagement opportunities for fan involvement.
The conference is scheduled to start releasing the Big South preseason poll and preseason all-conference teams via its @BigSouthFB Twitter feed at 8:45 a.m.
Fans can follow and experience Big South Football Media Day via the league's social media platforms on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat on both days.
Fans can submit questions in advance for each team using the hashtag #BSCMediaDay, as well as, at www.facebook.com/bigsouthsports. The submitted questions will be answered during a new "Social Hangout" session on Thursday.
