Mathieu Fenasse and Isiah Logue were named to the VaSID All-State men's golf team.
Liberty's Mathieu Fenasse and Isaiah Logue were second-team selections on the 2015 VaSID All-State University Division Men's Golf team, which was released today by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
Logue was also selected the 2015 VaSID Men's Golf Rookie of the Year, becoming the first player in program history to receive the honor.
Joining Logue as major award winners on this year's all-state team was VCU junior Brad Ball, who was named VaSID Men's Golf of the Year, and Virginia's Bowen Sargent, who was selected VaSID Coach of the Year.
Ball claimed medalist honors at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and was named to the GCAA/PING All-East Region team. He set a program record with a 71.73 stroke average and recorded six top five finishes.
Sargent led the Cavaliers to an 18th-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Men's Golf Championship and a No. 25 ranking in the final Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Logue was selected the 2015 Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Year and individually qualified for the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional. He finished the season with a 72.78 stroke average, the seventh best single-season mark in program history and second best among freshmen players.
The native of Fairfield, Pa., ranked second on the team in stroke average and posted four top 10 finishes. Following the season, Logue advanced to the sectional qualifying for the 2015 U.S. Open where he missed qualifying for the national championship event by one stroke.
Earlier this month, Fenasse was named to the GCAA/PING All-East Region team, earning the honor for the second year in a row. Fenasse is also making his second appearance on the VaSID All-State team, as he was as second-team selection in 2013.
Fenasse wrapped up his four-year career at Liberty in April, leading the team with a career-best 72.34 season stroke average. He posted six top 10 finishes in 12 events this season, spotlighted by earning medalist honors in the Liberty Spring Invitational.
Fenasse finished his career with a 73.41 stroke average, the third best career stroke average in program history. He had 16 career top 10 finishes, including two medalist honors victories (2013 Big South Men's Golf Championship and 2015 Liberty Spring Invitational).
A total of eight University Division programs in Virginia were represented on the 2015 VaSID All-State University Division Men's Golf first and second teams. Liberty, Virginia and Virginia Tech each had multiple selections on the all-state listings.
