2015 Cross Country Schedule

By the time the championship portion of Liberty's 2015 men's and women's cross country season arrives, the Flames and Lady Flames will be well acquainted with the championship courses.

Head coach Brant Tolsma's squad will race three times at Panorama Farms (Earlysville, Va.), site of the 2015 NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships. Liberty will also preview the Big South Championships course at the Milliken Research Park (Spartanburg, S.C.) and the 2015 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships course at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park (Louisville, Ky.) prior to each of those events.

Liberty will begin the 2015 season with back-to-back meets at Panorama Farms, including the UVa Duals (Sept. 2) and Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational (Sept. 26). The same venue will then play host to the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships for the second time in three years, on Nov. 13. The meet will determine the team and individual qualifiers to the 2015 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.

The Flames and Lady Flames will get their first-ever look at the Milliken Research Park during the Oct. 3 Upstate Invitational. Four weeks later (Oct. 31), Liberty will return to the Palmetto State for the 2015 Big South Cross Country Championships, hosted by Presbyterian.

For the second time in meet history, the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be contested at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park on Nov. 21. The last time the meet was held in Louisville (2012), Liberty's Jennifer Klugh competed in the women's 6K as an individual.

Liberty will preview the course in Louisville at the Oct. 17 Pre-Nationals, taking on many of the nation's elite teams and individuals.

The Lady Flames will send a partial squad to two additional meets during the season, including the Royals Cross Country Challenge (Oct. 9, Charlotte, N.C.) and Hokie Open (Nov. 6, Blacksburg, Va.).
