2015 GCAA/PING All-Region Teams
For the second year in a row, Liberty men's golfer Mathieu Fenasse has earned a spot on a GCAA/PING All-Region team, which was recently released by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
A total of 155 players across six regions - Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2015.
Fenasse was a repeat selection on the GCAA/PING All-Region East team after earning the same honor in 2014.
The Lias, France, native is the third player in program history to earn repeat honors on a GCAA/PING All-Region team (Robert Karlsson – 2011, 2011 and 2012; Chase Marinell – 2013 and 2014).
Liberty has now had a member on a GCAA/ING All-Region team each of the last six seasons and seven of the last eight all-region teams.
Fenasse wrapped up his four-year career at Liberty in April, leading the team with a career-best 72.34 season stroke average. He posted six top 10 finishes in 12 events this season, spotlighted by earning medalist honors in the Liberty Spring Invitational.
Fenasse finished his career with a 73.41 stroke average, the third best career stroke average in program history. He had 16 career top 10 finishes, including two medalist honors victories (2013 Big South Men's Golf Championship and 2015 Liberty Spring Invitational).
