Liberty field hockey senior Helen Doolittle has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-District III At-Large Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), today. Doolittle garners the award for the second time in three seasons.
Doolittle, already a summa cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies, the Lancaster, Pa., is currently working toward a Masters of Arts degree in human services counseling (marriage and family concentration).
On the field, Doolittle started and played in all of the Lady Flames' 22 contests in 2014. Doolittle was a key contributor on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field. The midfielder helped Liberty to its second consecutive NorPac Championship as well as the Lady Flames first NCAA Championship victory over Richmond, 3-1, on Nov. 12. Doolittle finished the season with five goals and three assists, including two game-winning strikes.
