Series History Versus the Runnin' Bulldogs

Previewing the Lady Flames
Liberty enters the Big South Championship as the No. 2 seed, the highest seeding in program history. The Lady Flames reached that mark after finishing the season with a 7-10 mark, including a 5-2 Big South record. Liberty features seven all-conference award winners, including leading goal scorers Morgan Becker and Katy Pridemore.

Co-captain, and at-large all-conference first team member, Morgan Becker leads the way for the Lady Flames with 60 points, a new Liberty single-season points record. The Virginia native has netted 34 goals this season, while dishing a team-high and program-record 26 assists.

Freshman standout Katy Pridemore leads the squad in goals scored with 45. Pridemore's 45 goals set a new single-season record for the most goals scored in program history. The Vero Beach, Fla., native was recently named to the all-conference second team.

Nina Dunay, Colleen Ekert, Sam Struss, Kallie Britton and Juliann Elmer round out the all-conference award winners for the Lady Flames. Dunay, Struss and Britton combined for 78 goals, 42 assists, 70 ground balls and 100 draw controls. Ekert led the way defensively for Liberty as the transfer junior scooped up 36 ground balls and forced 26 turnovers.

Elmer enters the Big South Championship with a 7-10 record in goal for the Lady Flames. The junior goalkeeper leads the team in ground balls with 49. More impressive is the Maryland native's 194 saves this season, ranking first in the nation. Elmer recently passed former standout goalie, Kristen Masullo for the most saves in a single season, a program record that had stood since 2011.

Previewing the Runnin' Bulldogs
Gardner-Webb enters the contest with a 1-15 record, including a conference mark of 1-6. The Runnin' Bulldogs are in their first season of action, having notched the program's first victory in the regular season finale, defeating Presbyterian by a score of 13-12 on Friday.

Gardner-Webb is led offensively by Amanda Steinmuller, who recorded 18 goals and three assists during the regular season.

All-conference second team honorees, Monique Martin and Alex Fusco, control the midfield for the Runnin' Bulldogs. The duo combined for 22 goals, 10 assists, 64 ground balls, 67 draw controls and 29 caused turnovers.
