Nick Pierce of the Liberty Flames Sports Network recently caught up with Liberty pole vaulters Jessie Glynn and Ken Ritchey, both of whom are coming off of career-best performances at the Campbell Invitational.
Glynn won the Campbell Invitational women's pole vault title with a personal-best 12-5.5 clearance. The sophomore leads the Big South, ranks third in program history and is tied for 59th in the East Region.
Meanwhile, Ritchey cleared a personal-best 16-6.75 to capture the Campbell Invitational men's pole vault crown. The junior currently sits second in the Big South Conference, seventh in program history and tied for 36th in the East Region.
Glynn and Ritchey are both slated to pole vault at the Highlander Invitational, which will be contested Friday and Saturday at Cupp Stadium in Radford, Va. Some of their teammates are competing in the 121st Penn Relays, today through Saturday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
