Mason Rudolph Championship

The Flames will spend their Easter weekend in Franklin, Tenn., as they participate in the 2015 Mason Rudolph Championship.

The three-day, 54-hole event will be contested at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course (par 71, 7,100 yards), beginning with 18 holes of play on Friday.

The Flames will see some familiar faces when they take to the course, as the 14-team field includes No. 27 Alabama, No. 21 Kennesaw State and Mercer. The trip of teams each finished ahead of Liberty during the Flames' last event - the Linger Longer Invitational.

This year's field features eight top 50 ranked programs, led by tournament host No. 6 Vanderbilt. Joining the Commodores as top 50 ranked teams in the field are No. 15 Georgia Tech, No. 21 Kennesaw State, No. 24 SMU, No. 27 Alabama, No. 39 Georgia Southern, No. 44 East Tennessee State and No. 49 Louisville.

Alabama is the event's reigning champion. The Crimson Tide posted a 5-under par 847 winning score (281-294-272) last year, finishing nine strokes ahead of Vanderbilt's 4-over par 856 (289-284-283) on their home course.

The Flames are coming off an eighth place finish at the Linger Longer Invitational where they posted a 1-over par 865 (284-290-291).

Liberty was led in that event by Mathieu Fenasse, who finished tied for 12th place with a 4-under par 212 (70-74-68).

The senior has played seven of his last nine rounds of golf at par or better, including five sub-70 rounds. His strong play of late has lowered his season stroke average to 72.50, which leads the team and ranks fifth in the Big South.

Isaiah Logue finished the Linger Longer Invitational tied for 25th place with an even par score of 216 (71-70-75). He was named Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this spring and fifth time overall this season after the event.

The remainder of Head Coach Jeff Thomas' starting five for the Mason Rudolph Championship will be comprised of Hutson Chandler (77.11), Adam Eineving (76.46) and Payton Taylor (73.67) (Season stroke average).

Chandler played two of his three rounds at the Linger Longer at par or better, while Taylor carded a second round 4-under par 68 during the event.

The 14-team field will play three days of 18-hole competition, beginning at 9 a.m. (EST) on Friday, followed by an 8:30 a.m. (EST) start time on Saturday and Sunday. Live stats for all three days will be provided by
