Liberty's Isaiah Logue
Following another top 30 finish at last weekend's Linger Longer Invitational, Liberty men's golfer Isaiah Logue has been named this week's Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week.
The honor is the fifth Big South Freshman of the Week accolade for Logue this season and the fourth of the spring season. Logue currently leads the Big South Conference in season stroke average among freshman golfers (73.25).
The Fairfield, Pa., native finished the Linger Longer Invitational tied for 25th place with an even par 216 (71-70-75). He opened the two-day event with consecutive under-par rounds on the Great Waters Golf Club (par 72, 7,073 yards), giving him five straight rounds in red figures.
Logue ranks second on Liberty's roster and 11th in the Big South in season stroke average. He has posted top 30 finishes in each of his four events this spring, and six out of eight events overall during his rookie season at Liberty.
The Flames will return to action next weekend when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., to participate in the Mason Rudolph Championship on April 3-5. The Easter Weekend event is hosted by Vanderbilt at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
