1. Liberty enters the weekend with a 14-10 overall record and 1-2 in Big South Conference. The Flames dropped both of their contests during the midweek to start a six-game homestand at Liberty Baseball Stadium. Liberty fell to Duke, 3-1, Tuesday, and 10-7 to No. 12 Virginia, Wednesday.

2. Wednesday's crowd of 2,841 attended the Virginia-Liberty contest, the largest crowd in Liberty Baseball Stadium history. It eclipses the previous record of 2,792.

3. This past Tuesday, the Flames began a six-game homestand. After falling in the ? rst two games of the homestand, Liberty is 9-4 at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this season.

4. Flames left-hander Jared Lyons was named the Big South Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played March 16-22.

5. Flames 4 Life Week culminates with a pregame tailgate and ceremony honoring former Flames baseball player Joe Feeley, who died of cancer in 2012, tonight.

• 1B/C Alex Close posted his third three-hit game of the season, drove in two runs and scored a run, against Viriginia, Wednesday. • The day before, Close collected two hits, walked and scored a run against Duke.

• Over his last 12 games, Close is batting .444 with 17 RBI. He leads the Flames in both RBI (20) and runs scored (19). Close has reached base in 14 straght contests.

• OF/RHP Ashton Perritt collected two hits, one his second home run of the season, two RBI and two runs scored against Virginia, Wednesday.

• Perritt allowed two runs on six hits over 5 1/3 against Duke, Tuesday.

• LHP Jared Lyons was named the Big South Pitcher of the Week for March 16-22. The senior  allowed three hits in pitching his ? rst shutout of the year in a 3-0 win at Radford, Sunday.

• Lyons tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts and did not walk a batter. He was perfect through the ?rst 5 2/3 innings, this past Sunday.

• Lyons leads the Big South in ERA (1.29) and opponent batting average (.167) • OF/1B Andrew Yacyk had his reached base streak snapped at a team-high 18 games, Wednesday. The sophomore also posted the longest hit streak by a Flames player of 10 this season.

• Shawn Clowers leads the Big South in wins and is second nationally with ?ve.

• OF Aaron Stroosma posted his ?rst three-hit game at Liberty in last Sunday's 3-0 win at Radford. Stroosma leads the Flames with eight stolen bases.

• SS Dalton Britt hit his third home run of the year last Saturday at Radford. Britt has hit more home runs in 2015 than he did in his ? rst two seasons at Liberty (2).

• Britt also posted his third three-hit game of the year, last Friday at Radford.

• Flames 4 Life Week culminates with a pregame tailgate and ceremony honoring former Flames baseball player Joe Feeley, who died of cancer in 2012, tonight.

• Feeley played for the Flames in 2008 and 2009.

• The ?rst ?reworks show of the season will follow the game. Four ?rework shows are scheduled throughout the season.

• Flames for Life Week is to inform and educate others about the need for bone marrow donation and encourage people to become a part of the national bone marrow registry through project life.

• Throughout the week, Liberty Athletics has provided informational tables throughout campus.
