Prior to the beginning of Liberty's second week of spring workouts, Liberty Flames Sports Network reporter Alan York had a chance to talk with Head Football Coach Turner Gill.
During the interview, Gill recapped Liberty's first three practices of the spring last week, during which he allowed his players to be a little more physical, especially his offensive and defensive lines.
York also asked Gill about some of the position battles that are taking place this spring, including the competition for the starting positions at center and slot receiver.
Liberty will hold four practices this week, including three afternoon workouts on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (4 to 6:30 p.m.). The Flames will wrap up the week with a closed scrimmage on Saturday at Williams Stadium (Noon to 2:45 p.m.).
LibertyFlames.com will continue its coverage of spring practice this week with player interviews with running back Desmond Rice, linebacker Nick Newman and cornerback Wesley Scott.
