Lady Flames to Take on No. 13 Dukes of James Madison

The Liberty Lady Flames lacrosse squad looks to notch its second victory in a row tomorrow when Liberty takes on No. 13 James Madison at University Park at 7 p.m.

Tomorrow's match marks the first time that Liberty and James Madison will square off on the lacrosse pitch.

Previewing the Lady Flames
The Lady Flames enter tomorrow's contest with a 2-6 overall record following Liberty's most recent 11-7 victory against George Mason last Wednesday in Fairfax, Va. The Lady Flames' win ended Liberty's three-game losing skid and marked the program's first-ever victory against the Patriots.

Katy Pridemore paces the Lady Flames' attack with a team-high 21 goals. The standout freshman also leads the team in points with 29. The Florida native has netted a goal in each of the eight contests thus far and averages 2.63 goals per game to rank Top 50 in the nation.

Sam Struss enters tomorrow's showdown as the second-leading scorer on Liberty's attacking force. The senior currently has 18 goals on the year and leads the team in assists with nine for a point total of 27. Struss sits in second on the squad in goals and points.

Morgan Becker ranks third on the team in goals with 12. The Round Hill, Va., native also sits third on the team in assists with six and points with 18.

Michaela Rich rounds out the scoring leaders for the Lady Flames as the sophomore enters the contest with 10 goals in seven appearances. Rich has also added four assists on the season for a point total of 14.

Juliann Elmer ranks first in the nation in saves with 121 and saves per game with 15.13. Elmer also leads the team in ground balls with 23. Despite the standout performance for the Phoenix, Md., native, Elmer enters the contest with a 2-6 overall record.

Previewing the Dukes
No. 13 James Madison enters the contest with a 7-3 record on the season. The Dukes have taken down two Top 25 teams in then No. 14 Loyola and No. 9 Penn State. James Madison enters the contest on a two-game losing skid. On Wednesday the Dukes fell to No. 8 Virginia by a score of 14-12. James Madison then dropped Saturday's match at No. 1 Maryland by a score of 14-10.

Betsy Angel leads the team in goals (28), assists (9) and points (37). The Dukes have six players in double-digit scoring, including Stephanie Finley with 26 goals on the year.

Schylar Healy has received the start in goal in each of the 10 games this season, posting a 7-3 record. The senior goalkeeper ranks second in the nation in saves with 96, only behind Liberty's Elmer.

Looking Ahead
Following tomorrow's contest, the Lady Flames travel to Elon, N.C., on Saturday to take on the Elon Phoenix. The contest is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at Rudd Field.
