Five Lady Flames Garner NFHCA Scholars of Distinction

The Liberty Lady Flames field hockey squad garnered a position on the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Scholars of Distinction squad. The Scholars of Distinction honors teams that boasted a minimum team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Lady Flames were one of 66 squads to make the list.

Five of the Lady Flames went on to capture a spot on the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Divison I Scholars of Distinction list as announced by the NFHCA earlier this afternoon. Bethany Barr, Serena Barr, Olivia Carroll, Erin Dombach and Helen Doolittle received the position after achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

For Doolittle, this year marks the third consecutive year that the senior from Lancaster, Pa. has been named a Scholar of Distinction. For teammates Serena Barr and Olivia Carroll, this marks the second consecutive year that the duo has accomplished the feat.

The 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA National Academic Squad will be announced next Monday, March 23 by the NFHCA office.
