Following his second straight Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week honor, Liberty men's golfer Isaiah Logue had a chance to chat with LFSN reporter Nick Pierce.
The rookie is coming off a 15th-place showing at the 2015 SunTrust Gator Invitational, last weekend. Logue posted a 5-over par 215 (71-72-72) on the par-70 Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. (6,701 yards).
The native of Fairfield, Pa., has posted four top 30 finishes in six team tournaments this year and he ranks second on the team with a 74.22 season stroke average.
Logue's best showing of the year came during Liberty's final tournament of the fall. He posted a 4-under par 212 (73-71-68) at Kennesaw State's Pinetree Intercollegiate to finish in fourth place.
Logue was named the Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week following the fourth-place finish, plus he has received the same conference honor for the first two weeks of the spring semester.
Logue and the Flames return to the golf links on March 9-10 when they travel to Aiken, S.C., to participate in the 2015 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational. The 54-hole event, hosted by USC Aiken, will be contested at the historic Palmetto Golf Club.
