Liberty's Mathieu Fenasse and Isaiah Logue were honored today by the Big South Conference following their pair of top 20 finishes at the SunTrust Gator Invitational, last weekend.
Fenasse was named the Big South Men's Golfer of the Week, while Logue was selected the Big South Men's Golf Freshman of the Week.
Fenasse finished the SunTrust Gator Invitational tied for eighth place with a 1-over par 211 (68-73-70), helping him post his third top 10 finish in six tournaments this season.
The Lias, France, native opened the Florida hosted event with a 2-under par 68, his second sub-70 round of the season and the sixth of his Liberty playing career.
This is the second weekly honor this year for the senior, as Fenasse was also named Big South Men's Golfer of the Week on Oct. 2.
Logue finished tied for 15th place with a 5-over par 215 (71-72-72), marking his second top 20 finish of his rookie season. He has been named Big South Freshman of the Week three times this year, including the last two weeks.
Logue's 215 marked his second lowest 54-hole total this year. The Fairfield, Pa., native ranked second in the field, playing the par 5 holes at 4-under par and ranking eighth with nine birdies during the two-day event.
Fenasse and Logue rank first and second on Liberty's roster with a 73.56 and 74.22 season stroke average.
The Flames will return to action on March 9-10 when they travel to Aiken, S.C., to participate in the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole event will be contested at the Palmetto Golf Club and is hosted by USC Aiken.
