Liberty's Mathieu Fenasse is four shots off the pace heading into the final round of the 2015 SunTrust Gator Invitational.

A steady pace of play has Liberty on the upper half of the 2015 SunTrust Gator Invitational leaderboard with the Flames currently in sixth place following the first day of play on Saturday.

Liberty stands in sixth with a 24-over par 584 (290-294) and is just one shot behind No. 5 Vanderbilt's 23-over par 583 (293-290) for fifth place.

The Flames and the Commodores stand atop the second tier of the 14-team leaderboard. Liberty and Vanderbilt lead a group of six teams that are within seven strokes of each other following 36 holes of play at the Mark Bostick Golf Course on Saturday.

Behind the Flames are No. 33 UAB, who is in seventh place with a 25-over par 585 (295-290), No. 47 Georgia Southern (296-291) and Georgia State (293-294), who are tied for eighth place with a 27-over par 587 and No. 27 North Florida, who is in 10th place with a 30-over par 590 (294-296).

The top four teams in the field have distanced themselves from the rest with No. 22 USF leading the way with a 2-under par 558 (275-283) on the par-70 course (6,701 yards).

Arkansas is in second place with an even par 560 (280-280), followed by No. 3 Florida State's 3-over par 563 (279-284). Tournament host Florida stands in fourth place with a 7-over par 567 (281-286).

Eight players in the 75-man field find themselves in red figures following the first 36 holes of play at the two-day event.

Arkansas' Kolton Crawford (68-69), UAB's Martin Rohwer (66-71) and Florida's J.D. Tomlinson (67-70) are tied for first place with a 3-under par 137.

Liberty's top golfer stands just four shots behind the trio of individual leaders. Mathieu Fenasse is tied for 11th place with a 1-over par 141 (68-73).

The senior opened the event with his second lowest round of the 2014-15 season, a 2-under par 68, as he offset two bogeys with four birdies.

Isaiah Logue is two shots behind Fenasse, where he is tied for 15th place with a 3-over par 143 (71-72). The freshman's score benefited from him playing the par-5 holes at 2-under par.

Liberty's Adam Eineving matched Logue's 2-under par score on the par-5 holes and is tied for 38th place with a 9-over par 149 (74-75).

Hutson Chandler was able to shave three strokes off his second time around the Mark Bostick Golf Course and is tied for 53rd place with an 11-over par 151 (77-74).

Liberty's final golfer in the field is Austin Inman, who is tied for 71st place with a 17-over par 157 (77-80).
