Game On recently featured the unlikely story of Liberty senior heptathlete Riley Brandon, who has gone from walk-on to Big South Conference champion during her time with the Lady Flames.
Brandon won the Big South pentathlon and heptathlon titles in 2014, while moving up to sixth place in program history for both events.
Brandon's final indoor track & field season is off to a good start. She currently ranks first in the Big South in the pentathlon, second in the high jump, fourth in the 800 and seventh in the 60 hurdles.
Liberty will compete at the Hokie Invitational, Friday and Saturday at Rector Field House in Blacksburg, Va. Brandon is entered in the 60 hurdles, 4 x 400 relay and high jump.
