The Liberty field hockey team has announced its 2015 spring schedule. The Lady Flames will see action in five days of play, including rematches with NCAA Tournament opponents North Carolina and Richmond.
Liberty opens its spring schedule on March 21 when they travel to Durham, N.C. to take on Duke. Following the scrimmage with Duke, the Lady Flames will then turn their attention to the Dukes of James Madison on March 28 when they travel to Harrisonburg, Va. While in Harrisonburg, the Lady Flames will also compete against American University and Penn State.
On April 4, Liberty travels to Norfolk, Va. to take on the Lady Monarchs of Old Dominion. The Lady Flames return home on April 11, in conjunction with College For a Weekend, for a rematch against the North Carolina Tar Heels. That same afternoon, Liberty will take on James Madison for the third time this spring.
The Lady Flames conclude the spring with a home scrimmage against Richmond on April 18, for a rematch of the NCAA Tournament play-in game.
The Lady Flames finished the 2014 season with a 14-8 record and claimed the program's second consecutive NorPac championship. Liberty defeated Richmond in the NCAA play-in game, 3-1, for the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory before falling to No. 1 North Carolina in the first round.
