Season tickets for the upcoming 2015 Liberty University baseball season are now available. The Flames are scheduled to play 31 games at Liberty Baseball Stadium, this season.
Season tickets are $75 each for premium seating and $50 each for general admission with discounts available for youth, seniors, Liberty University faculty/staff and recent Liberty alumni, who have graduate between 2009-14.
In addition, a family plan general admission season tickets are available. The family plan must be purchased in quantities of four and are for two adult and two youth tickets.
The Liberty Baseball Stadium was recently ranked among the top 100 stadium experiences of 2014 by Stadium Journey. The web site, which looks at stadium experiences around the world, has reviewed more than 2,050 venues in over 41 countries.
In addition, the Liberty Baseball Stadium was ranked in the top five best college ballpark experiences of 2014 by the Stadium Journey. The web site stated that "the facility has drawn nationwide acclaim in its short time of existence, and it sets a clear standard to which programs of its class should aspire." Liberty is scheduled to open its home schedule on Feb. 27 against Bryant at 3 p.m. at Liberty Baseball Stadium. The 31-game schedule will be highlighted by "Friday Night Fireworks." The postgame fireworks displays are planned for March 27, April 10, April 24 and May 15.
Liberty's 2015 home schedule features nonconference visits by 2014 NCAA College World Series runner-up Virginia, 2014 Super Regional participant Maryland, Duke, Old Dominion, James Madison and a four-game series against Kent State. The Flames will also play a competitive Big South Conference slate, including a three-game series against 2014 Big South Tournament Champion Campbell.
The Liberty Flames have been ranked No. 23 in The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Fabulous 40 NCAA Division I pre-season baseball poll for 2015. Last season, the Flames posted a 22-5 record at Liberty Baseball Stadium, improving to 47-14 in two years in the facility.
The Flames recorded their third 40-plus win season under head coach Jim Toman and the fourth in program history with a 41-18 mark in 2014. Liberty received the program's first-ever at-large selection to an NCAA Regional and appeared at a regional in back-to-back years for the first time in team history. Renewal statements were mailed to 2014 season ticket holders in December. The priority seating deadline is Jan. 31 with the Director's Day seat selection event scheduled for Feb. 5.
