As the new Liberty Softball Stadium nears its completion, second-year head coach Dot Richardson gives fans a look inside the brand-new facility. In the video tour, she discusses the planning process, along with describing the many unique features contained in the new stadium.
The Liberty Softball Stadium will have 1,000 chairback seats, and the Lady Flames are scheduled to complete their full home slate at the new facility in 2015. The new stadium will have home, visiting and umpires' locker rooms, an expansive athletic training room, a state-of-the-art team meeting room, coaches' offices, a large press box, indoor batting cages and a large scoreboard and video board, among other amenities.
Liberty softball fans will have plenty of opportunities to experience the new stadium, starting in 2015. The Liberty Softball Field will officially open on March 19 as the Lady Flames take on Rider, in the first game of a home tournament. Liberty will have 23 home games at the new facility, including home dates with ACC foes Virginia and Virginia Tech.
